For the first 20 days of the November – December 2011 holiday season, $9.7 billion has been spent online, marking a 14% increase versus the corresponding days last year. comScore projects a 15% increase by the end of December. If consumers’ purses and wallets are opening up in general e-commerce, that might auger well for online giving.
