I even saw an ad in our local newspaper posted by someone hoping to hire a grant writer to raise grant money to help buy a house for him/her. Similarly, people are hoping for finances to support their admirable goals; buying a home or creating a piece of art. First, let me be clear that a grant is the donation of a pre-determined amount of money, that is given without the expectation of financial pay back, and the money is given either at one time or over an agreed upon timeline.
