Back when I was with AVA , I found myself looking at a lot of marketing resources that were meant primarily for the business community. It kind of drives me crazy to follow someone who blogs so prolifically, but I keep coming back for more, because his advice and observations on using social media are just so good. still do.

Reality 3: You need to build your own media empire. Don’t depend on the mainstream media to get your message out. Instead, build your own media empire using online tools. Media coverage can still be incredibly helpful. I’m not suggesting that you forgo media relations entirely. It’s already gone.
