Stephanie Strom wrote States Move to Revoke Charities' Tax Exemption , published February 27, describing how poor states are seriously considering charging taxes to the nonprofits within their jurisdiction (which of course are granted the benefit of tax free dollars in reciprocity for the services and programs that they provide to communities at no or low costs to beneficiaries).
