Search Engine Optimization can include constantly updated content, targeted keywords, pay per click advertising (such as Google Adwords ) and more. Last week I "reviewed" the websites of Habitat for Humanity and Charity: Water. And Charity:Water as a new, less well-known brand, but one that seemed especially web-friendly. Just to remind you, I’m looking especially at online fundraising appeals, use of online video, and use of social media. Terrible fundraising.
Cheryl Taylor at the Foellinger Foundation shared a very interesting article with me: Providing for the poor is the primary goal people cite for their charitable donations, but less than one thir d of that money actually goes to helping the neediest, according to a recent study commissioned by Google.org, the philanthropic arm of Google.
Today, I’m looking at a quite different site … Charity:Water. In contrast to the now-venerable, 30-year-old Habitat for Humanity, Charity:Water is about three years old, founded by a 31-year-old. So I googled "homeless," "housing," and "housing for homeless" (limiting my search to US sites).

For the nonprofit sector, you can give an anonymous review at Charity Navigator. Have you left a review on Glassdoor or Charity Navigator? Post on Google Buzz. Well, now you can.
