Here are some ideas for content: Tell stories about people you are helping.  Invite guest bloggers in – clients, staff, Board, volunteers, and donors.  Once you get in the habit of writing these short blog posts, it will become easier and you’ll get ideas for content in lots of places.  A story ALWAYS works!

Here’s how you pitch a blogger: 1. You explain in the first sentence how your idea is relevant to their blog. You write a short, pithy summary of your idea in bullets that can be cut and pasted into a blog if the blogger likes it. Even a bulleted list is nice for a blogger. Most of the pitches stink.
I'm getting a lot of requests (several per week) to publish others' ideas, studies, services, etc. Blogger outreach isn't a bad idea. And blogs are more personal than MSM (mainstream media) so unless you're pitching the Huffington Post you must approach blogger outreach in a personal way. It's official. via my blog.
