This week I’m presenting at the nonprofit career club in Austin on how to get a better handle on your motivation to find a job.

I spoke with a local consulting firm a couple months ago about social media, and we started talking about social media etiquette. Because social media is so new and just starting to be widely adopted, there are not a lot of standards in place for etiquette. Social Media & Web 2.0
Unlike most business strategies, social media is built on a culture that is developed by the people who are involved in digital communities. The concepts of transparency, authenticity, honesty and passion for the topic/brand have evolved as 'society norms' for communicating and forming relationships in the world of the social web.
The other week, I announced a new way for us book lovers to connect in a fun and meaningful way–through an online social change book club named #read4change. What’s better than friends, social media and books? Imagine getting to go to your book club–and the author shows up.
I recently attended a local meeting of the Austin Social Media Breakfast Club where I had the pleasure of hearing John Moore talk about – or more accurately, test us on – the power of Word of Mouth Marketing from his years in leadership roles at companies such as Starbucks and Whole Foods. OK, so now for the answers.
When you first step into social media it's often like being the new kid on the block. But when it came to the cool Atlanta divas working in social media marketing my network was sadly struggling. Several of those books were recommended to me by my dear friends at amazon.com. it is colliding with technology and the world of social media. The video  is well worth a view.    Then there is the other Big Question: How are readers finding books in the new world of tweets, Facebook, blogs? Is the library still important?
